Burgundy Specialties in the Black Forest National Park Region
The Burgundy Night has been Baiersbronn's summer wine festival for years — the National Park community in the heart of the Northern Black Forest. From August 14 to 15, 2026, the Schelklewiese will open as the festival grounds. The focus is on the three Burgundy grape varieties: Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) — all from Baden-Württemberg vineyards.
Friday — Wine Cocktails and DJ
The kick-off on Friday, August 14, starting at 5 p.m., is by Oberkircher Winzer e.G. with a curated selection of their wines and sparkling wine cocktails (Weinspritzer, wine mojitos, wine spritzers). DJ Mike Tunes will play electronic music — a relaxed lounge atmosphere on the meadow overlooking the Northern Black Forest heights. Ideal for after-work guests and wine lovers looking for an uncomplicated summer evening.
Saturday — Main Burgundy Evening with Live Band
Saturday, August 15, is the main Burgundy evening. Starting at 5 p.m., selected Baden-Württemberg vintners will present their Burgundy varieties at individual tasting stands. Visitors can sample the diversity: dry or sweet, young or aged, light or full-bodied. Local chefs will offer matching dishes — cheese platters, Black Forest ham, Maultaschen, Flammkuchen. The live band “E!N KOMPL!MENT” will play a varied program for listening, dancing, and chatting.
Baiersbronn — National Park Community in the Northern Black Forest
The community of Baiersbronn, with around 14,500 inhabitants, is located in the district of Freudenstadt and is one of the most important holiday destinations in the Northern Black Forest. With the Black Forest National Park right on its doorstep, six star chefs (eight Michelin stars!), an extensive hiking landscape, and the historic Black Forest High Road, Baiersbronn is a top-tier summer destination. The Burgundy Night fits perfectly into the culinary profile of the community.
Organized by the Black Forest National Park Region
The Black Forest National Park Region is the tourism and marketing organization for the communities around the Black Forest National Park. The Burgundy Night is one of its most important summer events and part of a broader culinary program (“Genießerfestival” and other gourmet events). The mix of wine, live music, regional cuisine, and Black Forest atmosphere makes the Burgundy Night a special experience.
