Art on Campus in Bremen North

In the north of Bremen, in the Grohn district near Vegesack, lies the campus of Constructor University, formerly Jacobs University. Once a year, the Arts & Culture Center here becomes the venue for ArtFest – a student-led art exhibition that has been bringing together local and international artists since 2017. You'll experience an international campus audience and an open, curious atmosphere away from classic gallery spaces.

From Painting to Live Performance

The entire spectrum of contemporary creation is showcased: drawings, paintings, photographs, films, and sculptures by students and external artists. In addition, there are live performances and interactive workshops that make the festival more than just a viewing experience, inviting participation. In previous editions, more than 200 works were featured and over 1,000 guests visited the campus.

Annually Changing Main Theme

Each edition focuses on its own main theme, providing a common framework for the artistic contributions. This creates a dense, thematically connected exhibition experience year after year – an international platform for artistic exchange right in the heart of Bremen-Nord.

Open and Free of Charge

ArtFest is free and publicly accessible. The Constructor University campus is easily reachable from Bremen North and invites you to a relaxed art weekend with the Arts & Culture Center – open to families, students, and art enthusiasts from the entire region.
