Annafest Grafenwöhr

The Annafest 2026 will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2026 – the feast day of Saint Anna – in Grafenwöhr.

The program includes the Fire Department Festival in the Stadtpark, the Annamarkt with vendors from 10 AM to 6 PM around the Marktplatz and Schulstraße, and the staged historical city tour by the Historical Society and the Catholic theater group. The festival is embedded in the town's diverse cultural summer 2026, featuring 15 events over 24 days between late April and early September.

Sunday, July 26, 2026 — Feast Day of Saint Anna

• Festive church service at the Annabergkirche; children's service at the Lourdesgrotte
• Annamarkt 10:00 AM–6:00 PM — numerous vendors around the Marktplatz and Schulstraße, often combined with a Sunday shopping event
• Citizens' Association Flea Market on Schulstraße and Grafenwöhrther Platz
• Fire Department Festival in the Stadtpark with catering by the Volunteer Fire Department
• Staged historical city tour by the Historical Society and the Catholic theater group (partly German/English)
• Music program with the Stadtkapelle and guest bands
• Concluding procession of lights from the St. Anna Church to the Church of Mariä Himmelfahrt

The exact times of the individual program points will be announced by the town of Grafenwöhr shortly before the festival.

Getting There

Grafenwöhr is located in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the Oberpfalz region, accessible via the A93 motorway or the B299 federal road. The Annamarkt and Annafest take place in the Stadtpark as well as around the Marktplatz and Schulstraße.

The Annamarkt and Annafest are free to enter; food, drinks, and market goods are paid for on-site.
