Non-commercial Christmas market for and by children at Falkenhagener Anger — 26th edition
Falkensee is located directly on the western outskirts of Berlin, in the Havelland district. The Angerweihnacht has been the city's traditional Christmas market for over two decades — and differs from commercial markets in one important aspect: it is non-commercial and is strongly supported by children and young people.
The Angerweihnacht traditionally takes place on the Saturday before the first Advent. In 2026, this would likely be November 28th — the exact date will be confirmed by the city of Falkensee in good time.
With about 44 stalls, the Angerweihnacht is a manageable but particularly substantial market. Many stalls are run by schools, kindergartens, clubs, and families. Items sold include:
The main venue is the Haus am Anger with the adjacent Falkenhagener Anger. Concerts and craft activities take place inside, while the market with its stage and stalls is set up outside.
The City of Falkensee organizes the Angerweihnacht. The deliberate renunciation of commercial stalls is part of the city's tradition.
A late November day with a compact market in the Berlin commuter belt. Deliberately non-commercial, strongly supported by schools, kindergartens, and volunteer families.
