Sande – Paderborn District with Village Character
Sande is a district in the north of Paderborn with about 3,500 inhabitants, on the border with the Lippe district and Münsterland. Despite belonging to the city of Paderborn, Sande has retained its village character: farms, a parish church of St. Hubertus, a village square, a festival ground, and a lively club life.
St. Hubertus Riflemen's Brotherhood Since 1922
The St. Hubertus Riflemen's Brotherhood Sande 1922 e.V. was founded in 1922 – thus over 100 years old in 2026. Like many Catholic riflemen's brotherhoods in the Paderborn region, the association combines shooting sports, tradition, and lived community of faith. The patron saint is St. Hubertus, the patron saint of hunters – fitting for the Schützen tradition.
