Spring Kickoff in the Main-Taunus District

The Altstadtfest Hofheim am Taunus marks the beginning of the festival season in the Main-Taunus district. From April 24 to 26, 2026, the historic old town of the district capital will transform into a three-day festival mile with street food, live music, an oldtimer show, and a sales exhibition.

Street Food Music Festival at Kellereiplatz

From Friday to Sunday, the Street Food Music Festival will take place at Kellereiplatz, featuring culinary specialties from around the world and live music. This is where Hofheim residents and weekend visitors from the Rhine-Main region meet for a cozy festival weekend.

200 Oldtimers and Vespas at Untertor

The highlight on Sunday is the grand Oldtimer and Vespa Show at Platz Am Untertor: Around 200 historic vehicles from all over Germany will be presented – from pre-war convertibles to iconic Vespas from the 1960s. The event is organized by the Hofheimer Oldtimerclub.

Europe Day with Partner Cities

Europe Day is also held as part of the Altstadtfest – Hofheim has three partner cities: Chinon (France), Buccino (Italy), and Pruszcz Gdański (Poland). Delegations and stands from the partner cities will introduce themselves. This includes a Ukrainian cultural stand, children's activities, and a city rally organized by the Förderkreis Hofheimer Städtepartnerschaften (Friends of Hofheim's Partner Cities).

Live Music with Markus Macky Müller and Big Band Hofheim

Musical performances will be provided by Markus Macky Müller and the Big Band Hofheim. There will be continuous programming on several open-air stages throughout the weekend.

Sunday Shopping

On Sunday, April 26, the Sunday shopping event will take place from 1 PM to 6 PM – shops in Hofheim's old town will open specially. This allows you to combine shopping with the festival, the oldtimer show, and street food.

Three Days in One City

Hofheim am Taunus, with around 41,000 inhabitants, is the largest town in the Main-Taunus district and its administrative seat. The old town, with its half-timbered houses and the historic main church of St. Peter and Paul, provides a compact festival backdrop. The special charm of the Altstadtfest comes from the parallel program streams: Street food with music at Kellereiplatz, the oldtimer show as a display event at Untertor, and shopping in the pedestrian zone – all within walking distance.
