Buckow — A Village in the South of Berlin

Buckow is a district in the south of Neukölln, where the medieval village structure is still recognizable: half-timbered houses, a brick church, and an old smithy are grouped around the village green and the pond. The outer districts of Berlin have preserved several such historic village green structures; in Buckow, it is particularly dense and well-preserved.

What Happens Here

The Dorfteichfest enlivens this rural topography for three days. A stage, market stalls, and seating will be set up on the green along the pond. Live music (bands, DJs, local acts), food stalls, children's program (carousels, face painting), street food. A comparatively small, but very locally rooted event – those who come here meet residents of the village, not the classic tourist crowds of inner-city festivals.

Return After a Break

The Dorfteichfest has a long tradition but was suspended in recent years. The association Das sympathische Buckow e.V. has taken over the organization and revived the format. The district administration of Neukölln and the tourism portal Berlin.de confirm the date July 10–12, 2026.
