Afro Caribbean Carnival Beach Party Berlin
Day festival on the beach of Berliner Berg Brauerei to kick off the Berlin Carnival Weekender
2026
About Afro Caribbean Beach Party
Afro Caribbean Beach Party — edition 2026
The 2026 Beach Party continues the tradition established by Freak de l'Afrique in 2023 as the daytime opener for its Carnival Weekender. Seven hours of open stage, multiple DJ sets, cocktail bars, and street food on the sandy beach of Beach Neukölln — a deliberate contrast to the intense club nights of the following festival days. The concept targets an adult audience: no children, but a beach lounge atmosphere with Caribbean vibes in the heart of Berlin-Neukölln.
In parallel with the Beach Festival, the Carnival of Cultures (May 22–25, 2026) invites hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Kreuzberg-Neukölln district. Those who combine both events will likely experience the most intense festival weekend of Berlin's summer season.

Caribbean Meets Neukölln
When the Carnival of Cultures Berlin rages through the streets of Kreuzberg-Neukölln on Pentecost weekend, Freak de l'Afrique curates its own four-day program — the Berlin Carnival Weekender. The kickoff in 2026 is the Afro Caribbean Carnival Beach Party on Friday, May 22, from 3 PM to 10 PM at Beach Neukölln next to Berliner Berg Brauerei at Treptower Straße 39 (postal code 12059, district Neukölln). The sandy beach, cocktail bars, and sweaty Caribbean sounds become the stage for a bright daytime open-air festival for seven hours.
Freak de l'Afrique — The Berlin Afrobeats Community
Behind the festival is Freak de l'Afrique, which has built Germany's largest Afrobeats and Carnival community in Berlin for over 15 years. What started as a club night in 2010 is now the organizer of its own festivals (including Cirque de l'Afrique, Carnival Tunez, Pool Party @ MAAYA), a tour operator, a record label, and a float builder for the Carnival of Cultures — the collective sends its own sound truck through the parade every year. The Beach Party is the more relaxed, sunnier prelude to three days of club nights and pool heat.
Line-Up 2026
On the sand in 2026, among others, YunBinos, Nomi, Mista Wallizz, D-One (Jammasters), and Jugglerz will be behind the decks. Musically, the spectrum ranges from Afrobeats to Soca, Dancehall, and Amapiano, all the way to classic Reggae. The all-star cast combines established Berlin DJ crews with international guests — typical for Freak de l'Afrique's booking policy.
Beach Neukölln — Beach with a Brewery
Beach Neukölln is located directly on the grounds of Berliner Berg Brauerei, one of the important addresses in Berlin's craft beer scene. 2,000 square meters of sand, several bars, loungers, a stage, and sound system — the venue is perfect for a light daytime summer festival with a Caribbean flair. In the Neukölln district, it has been a staple of the summer outdoor scene for years.
As Part of the Berlin Carnival Weekender
The Beach Party is part of a curated four-day program: Friday evening at 11 PM follows Carnival Tunez @ Metropol, Saturday at 1 PM the Pool Party @ MAAYA, Saturday at 11 PM the Cirque de l'Afrique XXL Carnival Edition, and on Sunday, the Freak de l'Afrique truck participates in the large Carnival of Cultures parade through Kreuzberg. Those who want to experience the whole weekend can book festival passes via the organizer's website.
