Hardenbeck — Historical Village in Boitzenburger Land

Hardenbeck is a district of the municipality of Boitzenburger Land in the Uckermark district, in northern Brandenburg, near the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern border. The municipality consists of several villages whose history reaches deep into the medieval settlement of the Uckermark. Hardenbeck was first documented in 1271 — in 2026, the village will celebrate its 755th anniversary with a grand jubilee festival.

755 Years — Lived Village History

Seven centuries of Hardenbeck encompass the typical history of an Uckermark village: German eastward expansion in the 13th century, medieval peasant and manorial structures, the Thirty Years' War, Prussian reforms, GDR agriculture, reunification, and renewal. The anniversary festival aims to celebrate this long tradition while also showcasing the present-day village community — with clubs, families, and guests from the region.

"Games, Food, Drink, and Mystical Nights"

The festival motto "Games, Food, Drink, and Mystical Nights" promises a multifaceted program. Games for children and adults, regional dishes, Brandenburg beverages, and an atmospheric staging of the evenings will characterize the three festival days. The TMU tourist list of the Uckermark mentions Highland Games for 2026 as an addition — these are yet to be confirmed once the municipality's detailed program is released. What is certain is the festival opening every day from 6 PM.
