Guggenmusik Festival in the Southern Black Forest
The Guggenmusik Höllbachgeister Rotzingen — one of the most prominent Guggenmusik groups in the Southern Black Forest — is celebrating its 22nd anniversary in 2026 with a three-day festival. From June 13th to 15th, the festival tent will open on the Rotzingen sports field, a district of the municipality of Görwihl in the Waldshut district, high up in the Hotzenwald on the Swiss border.
Saturday — Anniversary Brass Night with Three Headliners
The grand Anniversary Brass Night kicks off on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, starting at 7 PM. The Brass Buebe — a nine-member ensemble from the Southern Black Forest — will open the festival tent. Around 9 PM, the Swiss band Stubete Gäng will take over, blending traditional Ländler music with modern elements and belonging to the most popular bands in the Alpine folk scene with their mix of folk and hip-hop. Around 11 PM, Brasslufthamma will close the evening with their own blend of brass music and party rock.
Sunday — Fasnacht Meets Tradition
Sunday, June 14th, is themed 'Fasnacht meets Tradition'. A morning pint concert with the Musikverein Willaringen at 11:00 AM, followed by a grand parade with vintage cars, traditional costume groups, and music bands through Rotzingen at 2:00 PM. Performances by the combined choir (2:30 PM), the Trachtenkapelle Amrigschwand-Tiefenhäusern (3:30 PM–5:00 PM), and the Hotzenwald Blasorchester HBK Görwihl (5:30 PM–7:00 PM) will follow.
Monday — Craftsman's Gathering to Conclude
On Monday, June 15th, the festival concludes with the traditional Craftsman's Gathering. Starting at 6:00 PM, the Trachtenkapelle Herrischried will play, and around 7:30 PM, the Trachtenkapelle Dachsberg will take over — both belong to the traditional folk music landscape of the Hotzenwald.
Hotzenwald and Höllbachgeister
The Höllbachgeister have been Rotzingen's Guggenmusik group since 2004 and regularly participate in major Fasnacht events in the region — in Görwihl, Tiengen, Waldshut, and also across the border in Basel. With their 22nd anniversary, they join the vibrant Guggenmusik scene of the Southern Black Forest and neighboring Switzerland. The support association of the Höllbachgeister is organizing the anniversary festival with the support of sponsors KSL Ingenieure GmbH, Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Brauerei, and Eckert Bau Rotzingen.

Three Festival Days in the Southern Black Forest
From Saturday, June 13th, to Monday, June 15th, 2026, the Guggenmusik Höllbachgeister Rotzingen will celebrate its 22nd anniversary on the Rotzingen sports field. The support association is organizing the festival in close cooperation with the traditional bands and music associations of the Hotzenwald region.
The highlight is the Saturday evening Brass Night with three headliners: Brass Buebe, Stubete Gäng (Switzerland), and Brasslufthamma. On Sunday, the motto 'Fasnacht meets Tradition' will dominate the day with a parade and traditional music. On Monday, the festival concludes with the Craftsman's Gathering and two traditional bands.

Getting There
Rotzingen is a district of Görwihl in the Waldshut district. Accessible via the B 34 (Bad Säckingen–Tiengen) and district roads. By public transport: Bus from Bad Säckingen or Waldshut to Görwihl, then continue to Rotzingen. Festival parking lots are signposted in Rotzingen.
