Five-day festival week for the 150th anniversary at Kasper in Moosen
Frauenneuharting is a small municipality in the southeastern district of Ebersberg, in the pre-Alpine hill country between Munich and Wasserburg am Inn. With its districts — including Moosen, where the 'Kasper' festival grounds are located — it is one of Upper Bavaria's charmingly secluded places where village life is still closely connected to clubs, festivals, and traditions.
The Volunteer Fire Brigade Frauenneuharting was founded in 1876 and is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026. An anniversary that the brigade and the entire community are honoring with a five-day festival week from May 22nd to 26th, 2026 (Whitsun week). The festival grounds at 'Kasper' in Moosen will be transformed into a festival tent landscape, expecting guests from the entire Ebersberg district and friendly brigades from the region.
The festival week combines several event formats into one week — from live concerts and disco nights to a church ceremony:
The festival week opens with the Upper Bavarian party band 'De Richtign' with live music, plus bar service in the festival tent. A lively start to get the brigade and its guests in the mood.
Saturday is all about the big party. Under the motto 'Moosen on Fire — 30 Years', another club anniversary is being celebrated (apparently 30 years of a club formation from the Moosen district). On stage: the band M7 and DJ MKAY. A disco night mix that will turn the festival tent into a dance floor.
Sunday is Family Day with an extensive program: Oldtimer exhibition (historic vehicles, tractors, fire engines), children's activities, games — and musically, the Emmeringer Musi, a traditional brass band from the neighborhood. A day for all generations.
Monday (Whit Monday) is the central festival day with a parade, field service, and the traditional vehicle blessing. Friendly brigades from the Ebersberg district and the region will march with their banners, accompanied by traditional costume and music groups. The Glonner Musi is responsible for the musical accompaniment. Afterwards, a 'Frühschoppen' (morning pint) and festival operations in the tent until late.
The festival finale belongs to the band 'blech bagage' from Ebersberg — Brass-Pop with an Upper Bavarian wink. The festival tent closes its doors with a final musical highlight.
A fire brigade anniversary of this magnitude is not just a fire brigade festival — it's a community event. All local clubs help out, members of other brigades travel in, and the population participates. The proceeds from the festival week will go towards equipment, youth work, and the club's activities for the coming years. Anyone who wants to experience authentic Bavarian club traditions is in the right place.
The Volunteer Fire Brigade Frauenneuharting is celebrating its 150th founding festival from May 22nd to 26th, 2026, with a five-day festival week at the 'Kasper' festival grounds in Moosen. The program combines traditional customs (parade, field service, family day with oldtimer show) with modern festival music (disco night, Brass-Pop) — a mix that makes the festival attractive for all generations.
The highlight is Whit Monday with the grand parade of friendly brigades from the Ebersberg district and the region, the field service, and the vehicle blessing. The Glonner Musi provides the musical accompaniment, followed by a 'Frühschoppen' and festival operations in the tent until late into the evening.
