Three days of open-air Schlager and Rock with KARAT, Oli P. and Biba & die Butzemänner
Zörbig is a small town in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district with around 3,000 inhabitants — and a festival that easily twenty-folds this population in the summer. ZÖRBIG DANCES has developed into one of the largest open-air festivals in eastern Saxony-Anhalt in recent years. In 2025, more than 7,000 guests attended over a weekend. The next edition follows in 2026 — from July 3rd to 5th on the Festwiese Zörbig (Zörbig festival grounds) at Stumsdorfer Straße 14B.
The program focuses on mainstream crowd-pleasers: Friday, July 3rd features Biba & die Butzemänner — one of Thuringia's best-known party bands — and Oli P., whose 90s hits („Flugzeuge im Bauch”) still resonate. Saturday, July 4th, another main act will perform (to be announced in spring 2026). Sunday, July 5th, belongs to the Rock legend KARAT — the most important band in GDR rock history, with hits like „Über sieben Brücken musst du gehn” and „Albatros”.
The organizers are Radio Brocken (the most widely listened-to private radio station in Saxony-Anhalt) and the Zörbiger FC — a combination that links marketing reach with local connection. The festival grounds, a former sports facility, become a festival stage with a main tent, several bars, and a camping area for guests staying the whole weekend.
Zörbig is located in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district, state of Saxony-Anhalt — between Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Köthen, and Halle. The region was an industrial center for decades (Central German Chemical Triangle), today recreation and industrial culture shape the landscape. With the Goitzsche Lake as a recreational area, Zörbig is in a region of increasing tourist appeal.
ZÖRBIG DANCES 2026 continues its established format. Headliner tickets via Eventim, day tickets and weekend passes available. KARAT as the Sunday highlight is a draw beyond the region.
