Whitsun in the Lewitz — Tractor Pulling and Folk Festival
The Trecker-Treck combines motorsport with a classic folk festival. The focus is on tractor pulling competitions in several weight classes — tractors pull a heavily laden braking sled as far as possible. The competition is complemented by fun pulling with quads and lawn tractors, as well as the dramatic night pulling under floodlights.
The competition classes run during the day, while children can enjoy the bouncy castle program, Clown Flori, and other attractions. In the evenings, festival tent parties with live music take over. The event spans the entire Whitsun weekend — from Friday evening to Whit Sunday or Monday.
Banzkow is located on the northern edge of the Lewitz, one of the largest contiguous lowland landscapes in Northern Germany, in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). The region is characterized by agriculture — the Trecker-Treck at the Neddelrad festival grounds thus stands in a tradition of community festivals related to agriculture that is more than a hundred years old. Originally founded as a "wood festival," the event has developed into a well-known tractor pulling weekend with supra-regional appeal over the past twenty years.
From Friday, May 22nd, to Whit Sunday, May 24th, 2026, the Neddelrad festival grounds on the outskirts of Banzkow will transform into the stage for the Trecker-Treck. Three days of competition between tractors of various weight classes — from smaller classes to heavy tractors that pull a loaded braking sled as far as possible. In parallel, fun pulling competitions with quads and lawn tractors will take place, as well as an evening night pulling under floodlights, which is one of the most dramatic program points each year. During the day, bouncy castles, Clown Flori, and other attractions ensure a family program; in the evenings, festival tent parties with live music take over.
The festival grounds also offer market and food stalls, catering in the festival tent, and a children's area. Exact class breakdowns and start lists will be published on the event website.
