The Kirchweih, known as 'Kärwa' in Franconia, is one of the most important festivals of the village year. In Gaukönigshofen, it is celebrated according to the tradition of the Diocese of Würzburg on the second Sunday in November. The patron saints of the parish church are the Holy Guardian Angels and Saint James the Greater.
