Kerwa in the Market Town of Schopfloch

Schopfloch (Middle Franconia) is a market town in the Ansbach district (AGS 09571), located on the historic Castle Road between Dinkelsbühl and Feuchtwangen. The former synagogue and the Jewish cemetery shape the special history of the place. The tent Kerwa at Corrèzer Platz is one of the key events in the summer festival calendar.

Host Association TSV Schopfloch

The organizer is TSV Schopfloch. The sports and gymnastics club serves food and drinks in the festival tent with the support of the club family, ensuring that the tent Kerwa is carried on as a community event by the people of Schopfloch. Carousels and stalls are operated by the Roth family.

Program Schedule

A classic tent Kerwa in Schopfloch follows a multi-day schedule: Kick-off on Friday evening with the beer tapping ceremony at 6 p.m. and a band like “Klein & Fein” plus DJ entertainment. On Saturday, there are sports competitions by TSV (typically 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.) and a children's program from 3:30 p.m. onwards; in the evening, a local band plays, and honors are awarded. On Sunday, a tent service opens at 10 a.m., followed by a hearty lunch and an afternoon program. Monday traditionally concludes with a communal Frühschoppen (morning pint) breakfast.
