Once a month, the Freundeskreis Popkultur e.V. organizes a Rock, Blues, Folk, or Pop concert at Café Wunder Bar in the special atmosphere of a living room concert. The audience sits close to the stage, the bands play in close proximity — a format that is unusual in a small town like Bad Sülze and has built a loyal following.
History
The series was launched at the end of 2014 and has become a firm fixture of popular culture in a rural region. By the summer edition of 2026, the series will have reached concert number 118 — a perseverance that is rare in its consistency.
Local Context
Bad Sülze is a small salt spa town in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. The Wunder-Bar-Konzerte complement the annual ROXSA Festival by the same association, jointly shaping the image of a small town with an above-average active pop culture scene. Artists from the region, from all over Germany, and occasionally from abroad perform here in an unusual format.

The 2026 season of Wunder-Bar-Konzerte spans the entire year, with approximately one concert per month at Café Wunder Bar.
