Würth Open Air — one of Southern Germany's most prestigious open-air festivals
On June 26 and 27, 2026, you'll experience two evenings of world-class music at the Carmen Würth Forum in Künzelsau. Since its first edition in 1997, Würth Open Air has established itself as a fixture on the German festival calendar. The organizer is the family company Würth — the world's leading provider of fastening and assembly technology, headquartered in Künzelsau with over 90,000 employees worldwide. What began as a regional cultural program is now one of the most renowned open-air concerts in the Hohenlohe region, regularly attracting visitors from all over Southern Germany.
Friday, June 26, 2026 — Zucchero (sold out)
The Italian soul and blues star Zucchero will kick off the festival on Friday evening. The singer ("Senza una donna", "Diavolo in me", duets with Paul Young, Eric Clapton, and Pavarotti) is one of the best-selling Italian artists of all time and comes to Künzelsau with his live band for an exclusive concert. The event has been sold out for months.
Saturday, June 27, 2026 — the big festival day
Saturday brings a lineup that appeals to various generations:
- Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys — one of Germany's hottest Italo-pop bands, with their ironic-nostalgic sound
- ClockClock — Austrian pop duo with German chart success
- Paula Carolina — young German pop singer with her own distinct sound between indie and mainstream
- Nena — the German pop icon, known worldwide for "99 Luftballons", with her current band
- Anastacia — US soul and pop singer ("I'm Outta Love", "Left Outside Alone"), headliner of the evening
Admission is at 5 PM, concerts start at 6 PM.
The Carmen Würth Forum — Architecture as a Stage
The festival grounds in front of the Carmen Würth Forum are more than just a venue: the Forum was built to designs by Danish star architect David Chipperfield and opened in 2017. With its pure white concrete, minimalist lines, and the 2,500-square-meter Reinhold Würth Hall concert space, it is considered one of the most beautiful concert architecture works in Southern Germany. The surrounding grounds — the sculpture garden with works by Henry Moore, Anish Kapoor, and Niki de Saint Phalle — offer a curated park atmosphere that makes the festival unique.
Künzelsau and the Hohenlohe Region
Künzelsau, with just under 16,000 inhabitants, is the largest town in the Hohenlohe district and the industrial center of the region of the same name. The Hohenlohe region, located between Heilbronn, Würzburg, and Schwäbisch Hall, is famous for its romantic castles (Langenburg, Neuenstein, Weikersheim), its hilly landscape, and its excellent cuisine. Visitors to the festival can ideally combine their trip with a tour of the region — accommodation is available in Künzelsau, Öhringen, Schwäbisch Hall, or on one of the surrounding farms.
