Anyone who turned on the TV in the early 1990s almost inevitably landed on VIVA (founded 1993) or MTV Europe. The hits of this decade — H-Blockx, Die Fantastischen Vier, Pur, Wir sind Helden, Mr. President, Captain Jack, DJ Bobo, Real McCoy — were part of everyday life for the generation that is now between 35 and 55. The Wohlsein 90s Supershow format celebrates exactly this generation and its hits. On July 18, 2026, the show will premiere in the Schloss- und Auenpark Paderborn — a perfect natural backdrop for an open-air concert with generational DNA.

The Concept — Several Acts, One Stage

The Wohlsein 90s Supershow is not a solo concert, but a revue: several well-known 90s acts perform one after another, combined with DJ sets and visuals that recreate the VIVA/MTV aesthetic of the time live — pixelated logos, chyron captions, ironic late-90s moderation style. The complete lineup will be published in the weeks before the concert on events.wohlsein-live.de; previous Wohlsein editions in other cities have featured acts like Sasha, Lou Bega, Captain Jack, Bro'Sis, Bürger Lars Dietrich, Loft, Right Said Fred, and similar stars of the decade.

The Audience

Wohlsein targets the nostalgia generation: people born between 1975 and 1990 who consciously experienced the 90s hits. The format has established itself as an unexpected success — over 500,000 people have attended Wohlsein concerts so far, in stadiums (Borussia-Park Mönchengladbach), open-air parks, and large halls. The Paderborn premiere is part of this expansion into medium-sized cities.

Schloss- und Auenpark Paderborn — The Ideal Natural Backdrop

The Schloss- und Auenpark in Paderborn-Schloss Neuhaus has been one of Ostwestfalen's most beautiful open-air stages since the 1994 State Garden Show. Nestled between Schloss Neuhaus, the confluence of the Pader and Lippe rivers, and spacious meadows, it offers space for tens of thousands of visitors in a relaxed festival setting. Other major open-air acts like Status Quo, Marius Müller-Westernhagen, and the Klassiknacht der Westfälischen Symphoniker regularly perform here.

Organizer — Wohlsein in Cooperation with Radio Hochstift

The concert is organized by Wohlsein GmbH, the event organizer specializing in 90s formats. The local partner and promoter is Radio Hochstift, the regional radio station for the Paderborn region. This cooperation aims to anchor the premiere in Schlosspark and make the format a tradition in the following years.
