Tonndorf – a small district in the Wandsbek borough

Tonndorf is located in the Wandsbek borough, east of Wandsbeker Marktplatz, between Wandsbek and Rahlstedt. With around 14,000 inhabitants, Tonndorf is one of Hamburg's smaller districts – but with its own identity, its own weekly market, and an active club scene. The district is predominantly suburban, with mixed residential buildings from the 1950s to the 1980s, plus an important economic hub around Edmund-Siemers-Allee, home to Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) in its broadcasting center.

"Wir sind Tonndorf" is the annual neighborhood festival, organized by a volunteer neighborhood initiative. The venue is Küperstieg, a central Tonndorf street in the southern part of the district.
