Start of the Wine Festival Season on the Main Loop
The Wine Festival in the Kastanienallee Nordheim is considered the traditional kick-off of the regional open-air wine festival season in the Franconian wine region. Nordheim am Main in the Kitzingen district is one of Franconia's largest wine-growing communities and is picturesquely located on the Main loop. The shady Kastanienallee provides the atmospheric setting for one of the first major wine festivals of the year.
Four Wineries and Two Producer Cooperatives
Four Nordheim wineries, the Insel WeinMacher winemakers' cooperative, and the DIVINO cooperative invite you to the festival. Typical Franconian wines are served – from fresh Silvaner to aromatic Burgundian varieties. Admission is free.
