October 3, 2026 — The 26th Edition
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the Förderverein invites you to the 26th Wine Festival. German Unity Day is also the traditional date and ensures a particularly festive atmosphere.
Wine from Saxony and Schlieben
- Wineries from Meißen — Saxon wine region, one of Europe's smallest and northernmost wine-growing areas
- Schlieben Vineyard — Local winery from Schlieben, Brandenburg, reviving the old Lower Lusatian wine tradition
- Coronation of the Wine Princess as the highlight in the afternoon
Renaissance Castle as a Backdrop
Doberlug Castle was built in the 16th and 17th centuries and is architecturally one of Brandenburg's most beautiful Renaissance complexes. The central castle courtyard provides an impressive stage for the wine festival — stalls around the courtyard, music, and performance elements in the open air.
Organizer
The carrier is the Förderverein Schloss Doberlug e.V., which has been developing the event since the early 2000s and promoting tourism at the castle. The 25th edition took place on October 3, 2025.
