Celebrating on the Red Wine Island

Wiesenbronn, on the western edge of the Steigerwald, bears a special nickname: "Red Wine Island by the Steigerwald." Since the 1960s, red grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Domina, and Portugieser have been increasingly cultivated here. The village celebrates this tradition every year on the first weekend of August with its wine festival in the Seegarten – under trees adorned with fairy lights in the heart of the village.

Wine, Art, and Culinary Delights

At five wine stands, the vintners of the Red Wine Island offer a wide selection of award-winning red and white wines. The culinary offerings combine regional and international flavors – from bratwurst and steak to fish on a stick and salad plates with goat cheese. A guided tour along the Wine-Art Trail with educational stations combines wine enjoyment with culture.

Four Days of Franconian Joie de Vivre

The festival is jointly organized by the marksmen's club, the viticulture association, and the sports club. Over four days, various bands perform live; on Sunday, there is a festival service with brass bands and puppet theater for families. The Wiesenbronn Wine Festival is considered an annual highlight in the Steigerwald.
