As in many Swabian communities, a market day coupled with the traditional Kirchweih (Kirbe) — the festival on the anniversary of the church consecration — has developed. While the religious component is less visible today, the market lives on: annually on the Monday after the third Sunday in October, Wendlingen's city center transforms into a large market street.
