In October 2025, the Wendlinger Kirbemarkt opened again along Kirchheimer Straße and around the Lauter. As for generations, the market day was the Monday after the third Sunday in October — from 8 AM to 6 PM, market stalls filled the city center of the Esslingen district town on the Neckar.

Classic market stalls, food offerings with bratwurst and Käsespätzle, regional specialties, and sweet temptations attracted thousands of visitors from Wendlingen and the surrounding region to the city center. A traditional autumn market day that kept the centuries-old Kirbe-market tradition alive — and will return again on October 19, 2026.
