WeinZeit Bad Meinberg — edition 2026
WeinZeit 2026 — New Beginning at the Badehaus
The 2026 edition marks a turning point: for the first time, WeinZeit will take place not in the Kurpark, but directly at the Badehaus. The trigger was a CO₂ and logistics discussion in the park — a dedicated citizens' initiative saved the format and moved it to a location with fixed electricity and sanitary infrastructure. The concept remains: selected wineries, local culinary offerings, live music, relaxed spring atmosphere.
What's Changing
The new location at the Badehaus is more central and better accessible by public transport. The event's ambiance remains familiar — no mass tourism, but a festival of enjoyment for the Lippe region.

Bad Meinberg — Lippe Spa Town with Wine Culture
Bad Meinberg, a district of Horn-Bad Meinberg in the Lippe region, has been a spa town for centuries. Famous for its moor baths, brine springs, and scenic Kurpark — located at the foot of the Teutoburg Forest — the spa town attracts thousands of visitors annually. WeinZeit was launched years ago to establish a social spring event alongside the spa season. It quickly became a fixed date in the Lippe event calendar.
New in 2026 — Relocation to the Badehaus
A premiere: in 2026, WeinZeit will take place for the first time not in the Kurpark, but directly at the Badehaus, Wällenweg 50. Background: The original location in the park was abandoned for logistical and CO₂ reasons — generator power, heating of the pavilions, and traffic load in the sensitive Kurpark were difficult to justify in the long term. A citizens' initiative of committed residents and exhibitors has saved the format and moved it to the new location — at the Badehaus with its fixed infrastructure (electricity, sanitary facilities, connectivity), it is much more sustainably positioned.
Wine and Culinary Delights
The focus is on selected wines — wineries from Germany (Rheinhessen, Pfalz, Baden, Mosel) as well as selected European producers present Riesling, Spätburgunder, Grauburgunder, Silvaner, and Cuvées. Alongside them, culinary specialties: Flammkuchen, regional sausages, Lippe specialties like Pickert, cheese stands, and sweet temptations. The atmosphere is focused on enjoyment — tasting rather than mass consumption.
Live Music and Atmosphere
Over the four days, several live acts will perform — acoustic trios, jazz combos, singer-songwriters — creating a relaxed soundscape that invites you to linger. The Badehaus itself — a historic spa building — provides the setting, and the area in front is designed with standing tables, pavilions, and fairy lights.
Opening Hours 2026
WeinZeit is open for four days: Thursday, May 14, from 12 PM to 2 PM (opening brunch), Friday, May 15, from 5 PM to 12 AM, Saturday, May 16, from 2 PM to 12 AM, and Sunday, May 17, from 11 AM to 6 PM. Free admission — payment is made directly at the wine and food stands.
Bad Meinberg in May — The Season
In mid-May, Bad Meinberg is in full bloom — the Teutoburg Forest is green, and the spa promenade smells of lilac. Before or after the wine festival, a walk to the Wallotts-Anlage, a visit to the Externsteine (15 minutes by car), or a stage on the Hermannsweg trail is worthwhile. Bad Meinberg is easily accessible by train (Detmold–Altenbeken–Bad Meinberg) and car (A 33 exit Bielefeld-Sennestadt).
