Franconian Wine Festival on the Main Promenade at the historic Old Crane
The Weinfest Marktbreit bears the subtitle "The Wine Festival for Connoisseurs" – and lives up to this claim. Organized by the Marktbreiter Heimatverein e.V., it takes place on the newly designed Main lände (riverside promenade) at the Alten Kranen (Old Crane), the historic harbor crane and landmark of the town. The location directly on the Main riverbank lends the festival a special atmosphere between the river, half-timbered houses, and Franconian wine.
The festival spans a weekend. On Saturday at 4 PM, the newly designed Main lände is officially opened, accompanied by live music from the "Wengertsmusikanten" from Rüdenhausen. From 7 PM, "New Mundox" will provide the mood with oldies. Sunday begins at 10 AM with a wine festival church service, followed by a jazz brunch with "Brassette" and from 5 PM the "Boogie-Notes". In between, Franconian wines and culinary specialties invite you to linger.
