The Voßberg settlement is one of Lohne's residential areas, characterized by a remarkable neighborhood culture. The Voßberg Settlers' Association acts as the organizational hub for the residents — an association that manages common interests, cultivates social life, and keeps the settlement vibrant. The annual settlers' festival is its central highlight and meeting point.

Three Days of Games, Sports, Music

The 2026 festival runs from Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th. Three days, each with a different focus:

• Games: traditional settler games, skill competitions for adults and children, hands-on activities
• Sports: small sports competitions, often football or volleyball tournaments between the settlement's streets
• Music: live music or DJ sets in the evenings, often with a dedicated dance Saturday
• Community: morning get-togethers (Frühshoppen), coffee hour, communal meals

A Down-to-Earth Neighborhood Celebration

The Voßberger Siedlerfest is not a tourist event but a neighborhood celebration of great authenticity. Preparations are voluntary, helpers come from the settlement itself, and the atmosphere is personal and familiar. Guests are welcomed warmly — the settlers are proud of their festival and happy to share it.

What Settlers' Associations Achieve

Settlers' associations like the one in Voßberg are a piece of social infrastructure that has been lost in big cities. Here, neighbors know each other, help each other, celebrate together, organize outings, and hold meetings. Free and Open

The festival is free and open to all interested individuals — including residents of other settlements or districts of Lohne. If you want to know how a committed neighborhood works, this is the place to be. Food and drinks, and any raffle tickets, are paid for on-site; admission is free.
