The Frühlingskirmes Dillingen 2026 will take place from Friday, March 27, to Monday, March 30, 2026, at Hoyerswerdaplatz. Classic rides (dodgems, children's carousels, 'Miami', children's flyers), sweet stalls, and food stands, Easter Bunny and children's crafts at the Gleisdreieck. On Sunday, March 29, the Sunday opening hours complement the programme.

As in previous years, the fair opens on Friday afternoon and runs until Monday evening. The highlight for families is the Sunday opening on March 29 — Dillingen's retailers open their doors, combining with the Kirmes activities for a classic spring excursion day in Saarland.

Getting Here by Train

Dillingen (Saar) station is right in the town centre. Approximately 25 minutes from Saarbrücken main station. A 5-minute walk from the station to Hoyerswerdaplatz.

By Car

A8 or A620, exit Dillingen. Town centre parking and multi-storey car parks in the vicinity. Very busy on Sundays with opening hours — arrive early.

The Frühlingskirmes Dillingen marks the traditional start of the Saarland's Volksfest (public festival) season. While Carnival season has just ended and high summer with its major festivals is still being prepared, the Frühlingskirmes is the first big opportunity to be outdoors again, spin on carousels, and start the warm season together with family and friends.

Four Days at Hoyerswerdaplatz

Hoyerswerdaplatz, located in the centre of Dillingen, is the traditional venue for all major town events — from the Kirmes (fair) to the weekly market and Carnival parades. For four days, the Frühlingskirmes offers a classic fair programme: dodgems, children's carousels, the popular 'Miami' ride, children's flyers, and small roller coasters provide the thrills. In between, there are stalls selling sweets (ice cream, crêpes, candied almonds, gingerbread hearts) and savoury snacks (sausages, Schwenker barbecue, fries).

Easter Bunny and Children's Crafts

As the Frühlingskirmes traditionally falls around Easter, there are special family offers: The Easter Bunny distributes sweets and is a photo opportunity for the little ones. In the area around the Gleisdreieck (railway triangle), children's craft and play activities are available, and a dedicated children's programme offers variety beyond the rides.
