Weingut Hees in Auen

Weingut Hees is one of the family wineries in the northern Nahe region, cultivating vineyards around Auen, Wallhausen, and neighboring wine villages. Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir form the grape profile. The Hees family practices artisanal, modern winemaking and regularly participates in initiatives by Weinland Nahe and in vinotheque events.

The Weekend Package

The Season Opening weekend package combines three components: overnight stay in the winery's rooms or in partner accommodations in the region, guided tasting of current vintage wines, and hospitality at the winery. The packages are bookable in various options – as a single overnight stay with tasting, as a weekend from Friday to Sunday, or as a longer stay over the four Season Opening days.

Tasting and Wine Experience

The tastings are personally led by the Hees family. Current vintage wines, older comparative wines, and selected specialties are presented. Explanations of vineyard sites, grape varieties, and winemaking methods complement the sensory experience. If the weather is good, a vineyard hike with views of the northern Nahe landscape can be included.

Auen in the Nahe Region

Auen is a small municipality in the Bad Kreuznach district with fewer than 500 inhabitants, belonging to the Bad Kreuznach administrative district. Its location away from major transport routes makes it a quiet, rural retreat. Sommerloch, Wallhausen, and Hargesheim are nearby and add to the mosaic of Nahe viticulture.
