Three days of spring market, food truck mile, and car show in the Baroque city on the Lahn
The Weilburg Spring Market with Food Truck Mile marks the start of the season in Weilburg, the Hessian Baroque residence city in the Lahn valley. For three days, from Friday to Sunday, the city, its business association, and restaurateurs animate the city center – the largest event format of the year in Weilburg before summer.
Already on Friday, April 17th, 2026, the Food Truck Mile opens: a dozen or more mobile kitchens offering regional specialties and international street food, accompanied by a musical program on a small stage. The food trucks will remain throughout the weekend, ensuring a consistent culinary atmosphere over three days – peaking on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday and Sunday (April 18th and 19th, 2026), market vendors will set up their stalls in the historic Market Square. The focus is on flowers, plants, herbs, as well as crafts, natural products, art, and decoration. A children's carousel will operate for the youngest guests, and walking acts will stroll through the city center. The Market Square, with its Renaissance town hall and half-timbered burgher houses, is one of the most beautiful settings for a spring market in Central Hesse.
Sunday additionally brings the Automobile and Mobility Show to König-Konrad-Platz, organized by Wirtschafts-Werbung Weilburg: exhibitors from the Weilburg region will present new vehicles, e-mobility, and bicycle mobility. In parallel, there will be a Sunday shopping event throughout the city center – retailers will open, combining the market, mobility, and shopping experience.
Weilburg is located in the Limburg-Weilburg district, on a striking loop of the Lahn river. The former residence of the Counts of Nassau-Weilburg, prominently shaped by the baroque Weilburg Castle, is considered one of the best-preserved residence city complexes in Hesse. The city center is situated on a hill, encircled by the river – a unique topography that also lends a special atmosphere to the spring market: one walks through narrow streets with Renaissance and Baroque facades between the Market Square and König-Konrad-Platz.
Three days of spring festival in Weilburg's city center with three clearly defined program axes: food truck mile, market stalls, and car show.
