Large winter funfair with Ferris wheel and mulled wine on Landsberger Allee
The Weihnachtsmarkt Landsberger Allee – also known as Lichtenberger Winterzeit – has been one of Berlin's largest winter funfairs for several years. The venue is the area at Landsberger Allee 300 in the Lichtenberg district, directly on the tram axis between the city center and Hohenschönhausen.
Around twelve large rides are located on the festival grounds. At the center: a Ferris wheel offering views over Lichtenberg and Friedrichshain. In addition, a Weihnachtsflug roller coaster, a children's roller coaster, classic carousels, a swing carousel, and a haunted house. Stalls with traditional festive specialties line the edge of the square: mulled wine, punch, candied almonds, bratwurst, waffles, and Lángos.
A conscious family focus: Wednesdays are Children's Day, with reduced ride prices for children. This positions the market differently from the purely tourist attractions in the eastern city center and engages families from the surrounding residential areas of Lichtenberg, Hohenschönhausen, and Fennpfuhl.
The market sees itself as the successor to the popular Berlin Wintertraum, which ran at the Alexa Center on Alexanderplatz until 2017. With its relocation to the east, the format has been moved to a transport hub with excellent public transport connections – tram lines M6, M8, and 16 stop directly at the site.
The 2026 edition of the Weihnachtsmarkt Landsberger Allee – Lichtenberger Winterzeit runs from October 31 to December 27, 2026, at Landsberger Allee 300 in 13055 Berlin-Lichtenberg.
Specific opening hours will be announced before the season. As in previous years, expect weekdays from late afternoon and weekends all day. Free admission, individual rides and stalls charge on site. Reduced prices apply on Wednesdays as part of Children's Day.
Wednesdays feature reduced ride prices for children – a deliberate family focus.
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Rides, mulled wine, and food are paid for directly on site. Ride prices are reduced on Wednesdays as part of Children's Day.
Tram M6, M8, or 16 to Arendsweg (0.1 km to the festival grounds). Bus 256 and night bus N56 also stop nearby. By car via Landsberger Allee; parking spaces around the square are available but heavily used.
Free. Rides, mulled wine, and food are paid for directly on site. Reduced ride prices on Wednesdays as part of Children's Day.
Less crowded on weekdays than on weekends – ideal for families with small children. For the Ferris wheel, a visit after dark is worthwhile; the view over illuminated Lichtenberg is impressive.
