The Piazzetta Ralph Giordano as a market square

The market is located on the Piazzetta Ralph Giordano directly on Fuhlsbüttler Straße 100, the central boulevard of Barmbek-Nord. The square is named after the Hamburg writer and Holocaust survivor Ralph Giordano, who died in 2014 – a memorial site where Hamburg's Advent season annually regains a piece of living-room warmth. A manageable village of chalets, fir garlands, warm light, and a small, colourful carousel for the children.

Mulled wine, crêpes, and vegan kale specialities

Two mulled wine stands are prominent at the market, including HEISSE FUHLE with specialities directly from the vintner and hot non-alcoholic alternatives. Alongside them are crêpes, bratwurst, vegan kale specialities, doughnuts, and chestnuts. The offering deliberately remains affordable – it's a neighbourhood market, not a tourist stage.

Programme: Carousel, puppet theatre, magician

The children's programme characterises the market: The colourful carousel runs daily, a puppet theatre entertains in the afternoon, and the magician Salvatore Sabbatino performs regularly.
