Chamber Music in Waldsassen Abbey
The concert series of the Waldsassener Kammermusik-Kreis e.V. takes place in Waldsassen, a town in the Tirschenreuth district in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, directly on the border with the Czech Republic. The venues are the Harmoniesaal in the former abbot's palace and the Aula of Waldsassen Abbey — historic rooms that provide a worthy setting for chamber music.

Each year, the Chamber Music Circle offers a small series of hand-picked concerts with top-class ensembles. The program ranges from festive New Year's concerts to combinations such as flute & guitar, to string trio and piano trio evenings with international performers.

For 2026, the Waldsassener Kammermusik-Kreis e.V. announces five "selected and exquisite" concerts, including a festive New Year's concert at the beginning of the year (including a Sinatra evening), a flute & guitar program, a performance by the ensemble Apollo's Cabinet, and a trio concert.
Confirmed is the trio concert on September 26, 2026, at 7 PM in the Harmoniesaal with Stefanie Heinrich (violin), Tess Remy-Schumacher (violoncello), and Vivian Fang Liu (piano); the program includes Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D minor, works by Kitt Wakeley, and pieces by Schumann.
