From May 23rd to 25th, 2026 (Pentecost weekend), the Music Association Ingoldingen invites you to its traditional forest festival under the motto "For young and old — come along". Three days of events in the Ingoldingen woods — Saturday evening opening and dance night, Sunday family day and party night, Pentecost Monday traditional activities and festival finale. Running concurrently is the "Waldschippen" — a speed dating event for singles aged 20+ with dancing to the band ANDIXIE. The event is organized by the Music Association Ingoldingen with over 100 active members.

Pentecost Weekend 2026

The 2026 forest festival runs for three full days over the Pentecost weekend — from Saturday, May 23rd, to Pentecost Monday, May 25th. At the Ingoldingen festival grounds, there will be catering, concerts, dancing, family activities, and the special speed dating event "Waldschippen".

The organizer is the Music Association Ingoldingen with over 100 active members — who are part of the program themselves with their brass music and support the festival organization.

Admission to the festival grounds is completely free. Swabian specialties €6–12, draft beer approx. €3.50, wine approx. €4. The Waldschippen event (speed dating + dancing with ANDIXIE) has a separate admission fee of approx. €10–15 — registration recommended.

Getting There

Ingoldingen in the Biberach district, approx. 15 km south of Biberach an der Riß. By car via the L 280 or L 281. The festival grounds are located slightly outside the town center — signage leads from the town entrance. Parking is available at the festival grounds. Train: To Biberach (Riß), then bus 7591 to Ingoldingen.

Admission

Admission to the festival grounds is free. Food and drinks at the Music Association's stands at usual festival prices. The Waldschippen (speed dating format) has a separate small admission fee (approx. €10–15) — registration recommended.

What to Wear

Forest festival = outdoor. Comfortable shoes, a water-repellent jacket depending on the weather. In case of extreme rain, the event will be moved to the festival tent — operations will continue as normal.

Ingoldingen is a rural municipality in the Biberach district in Upper Swabia, south of Biberach an der Riß. With just under 2,500 inhabitants, it is typically Upper Swabian — rural, tradition-bound, with an active club scene. The local Music Association Ingoldingen has over 100 active members and is one of the largest associations in the municipality. Its forest festival has been the central event highlight of the Pentecost weekend for years.

May 23–25, 2026 — Three Days of Festivities

The 2026 forest festival runs from Saturday, May 23rd, to Pentecost Monday, May 25th. The venue is the traditional festival grounds in the Ingoldingen woods — a mature clearing with a festival tent, stage, catering area, and a large outdoor seating area. The motto for this edition is, as always, "For young and old — come along".

Saturday, May 23 — Opening and Dance Night

The festival evening is classic: opening in the early evening, catering, dance band, dance floor. The Pentecost weekend allows for a long Saturday evening without any issues on Sunday.

Sunday, May 24 — Family Day and Party Night

Sunday starts as a Family Day: early morning drinks from 11:00 AM with brass music from the Music Association, lunch with classic Swabian specialties, afternoon with coffee, cake, and a children's program. In the evening, the party night follows — with its own Waldschippen as a special format: speed dating rounds for singles aged 20+, combined with dancing and the band ANDIXIE. An unusual concept that integrates young adults into the traditional club format.

Pentecost Monday, May 25 — Festival Finale

Pentecost Monday is the festival finale: early morning drinks, lunch, traditional activities — such as log throwing, tug-of-war, sawing, or other Upper Swabian competition formats. Festival ends in the evening.
