A Bavarian Volksfest on the Inn

The Volksfest Töging am Inn is one of the traditional summer folk festivals in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting. For six days, the Volksfestplatz an der Badstraße is transformed into a classic Bavarian festival meadow with a large wooden hall, beer service, amusement rides, and showman's stalls.

The heart of the festival is the rustic wooden hall with around 1,000 seats, where Töginger Festbier, specially brewed for the Volksfest, is served. Accompanying this are culinary specialties from the region – from roast chicken and pork roast to Bavarian delicacies.

Opening with a Parade

Every year, the event kicks off with a parade through the town, after which the mayor officially opens the Volksfest with the traditional 'O'zapft is'. Bands provide the atmosphere on the festival grounds, complemented by family activities, amusement rides, and market stalls for all ages.

Location in the Inn-Salzach Land

Töging am Inn is located in the district of Altötting in the state of Bavaria, on the Inn Canal and in close proximity to the pilgrimage town of Altötting. The region between the Inn and Salzach rivers is known for its vibrant folk festival and customs culture – the Töginger Volksfest, like the Altötting Kirta, embodies this tradition.
