Medieval Spectacle in the Castle Park of Tüßling
The Medieval Market at Tüßling Castle is one of the most atmospheric medieval spectacles in the Inn-Salzach region. The venue is Tüßling Castle in the market town of Tüßling, in the district of Altötting, Bavaria. The organizers promise "a lively journey through time full of minstrel sounds, juggling, knightly courage, and hands-on attractions".
Around 25 authentic camp groups, 60 merchants and craftsmen with historical products, and 10 caterers with food and drink present themselves on the grounds. Blacksmith demonstrations and ancient crafts make the Middle Ages tangible.
Bands such as Die Streuner, Kupfergold, Tales of Nebelheym, Kilkenny Bastards, and Neumentroll provide the musical accompaniment. In addition, there are jousting tournaments on horseback, jugglers, magicians, a hands-on circus for children, as well as fire shows and a torchlight procession.
The spectacle is aimed at families and medieval enthusiasts alike. The organizer is Turba Events. With family and inclusion tickets, the festival is broadly accessible and a firm fixture in the region's program.
