One-day Korean diaspora festival at Potsdamer Platz – 20+ artists, K-Pop performances, K-Food, and workshops
Manifesto Market at Potsdamer Platz is a modern food market hall modeled after similar projects in Prague. Covering around 2,500 square meters, it features street food stalls, a central stage area, a bar, and seating areas – a format that has quickly become a Berlin event location for culinary and cultural pop-up events. On May 9, 2026, the hall will be dedicated entirely to Korean diaspora culture for the first time.
The focus is on over 20 Berlin-based Korean and Korean-German creatives: illustrators, designers, fashion brands, studios, and jewelry makers. It's a mix of a pop-up marketplace, diaspora networking, and a cultural day. The event is organized by ktb.berlin (Korean Together Berlin) in collaboration with the design studio Woojoo Studio – both deeply rooted in the Berlin K-Community.
The Berlin K-Pop dance crew @gambit.dcrew will perform live on stage. K-Food will be provided by Berlin.Moim, and Korean drinks will be served by @soot_bar. In the workshop area, visitors can learn to fold paper lotus flowers under guidance (free, but requires RSVP). Face painting in the style of the K-Pop Demon Hunters for children and adults. Quick 3-minute portraits by @3min_portrait. Live photos by @sh1nfoto. A small K-Pop flea market with photocards, merch, and collectibles completes the program.
The organizers explicitly see the K-Festival 2026 as a starting point: after this event, the establishment of a more structured community platform for K-Creatives in Berlin is planned – with a new name and more regular events. Manifesto Market is suitable as a format incubator because it brings its pop-up structures and daily audience.
The K-Festival 2026 is a concentrated eight-hour event: doors open at 12 PM, program ends at 8 PM. Throughout the day, various program streams run in parallel. On stage, K-Pop dance performances (@gambit.dcrew), show acts, and smaller DJ sets alternate. In the market hall area, the approximately 20 Berlin-based Korean exhibitors are spread out – fashion, design, illustration, jewelry.
