A Town Becomes a Concert Stage
The Dömitz Music Night is a 'Wandelkonzert' (moving concert) format: six bands play at six venues in the old quarter of Dömitz, with each band performing multiple times a night for 45 minutes on the hour. The audience decides their own order of visits — a mix of concert experience and city stroll that has delighted regulars and newcomers alike since its inception.
Genre Mix from Rock to Electronic
The musical spectrum ranges from rock and pop to electronic and dance music. Each band represents a distinct style, allowing attendees to experience six different musical worlds in one evening. The venues are typically the central squares and pubs in the old quarter — the church, market square, courtyards, and local establishments.
Dömitz on the Elbe
Dömitz is located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district (state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), directly on the Elbe river, on the border with Lower Saxony. With just under 3,000 inhabitants, the town is small but boasts a significant history as an Elbe fortress — the Renaissance fortress Dömitz is one of the region's most important architectural monuments. The organizer of the Music Night is the Initiative LuK (Leben und Kultur) e.V., which has organized the format for years in close cooperation with the Dömitz Tourist Information.
Dömitz Music Night — edition 2026
The 17th edition continues the unique 'Wandelkonzert' (moving concert) format in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Starting at 8:00 PM, six bands will be spread across six venues in the old quarter; each band will perform multiple times in the evening for 45 minutes, starting on the hour. The audience will move between venues and can curate their own evening.
The musical spectrum includes rock, pop, electronic, and dance music — six different musical worlds in one evening. The exact band names and venues will be announced in May 2026. Advance ticket sales start in early June at the Dömitz Tourist Information, Friedrich-Franz-Straße 11.

Thursday, June 4, 2026 — Dömitz Old Quarter
- from 8:00 PM — Music Night begins, six venues open
- 8:00 PM–8:45 PM — First round of bands at all venues
- 9:00 PM–9:45 PM — Second round (bands switch venues)
- 10:00 PM–10:45 PM — Third round
- 11:00 PM–11:45 PM — Fourth round
- 12:00 AM–12:45 AM — Fifth round (depending on program)
- later — Conclusion and joint wind-down at the venues

Getting There
By car via the L05 (B191/B195) to Dömitz; parking is available on the outskirts and in the town center. By train to Ludwigslust, then by bus or taxi.

Tip
Pick up a map of the Music Night (showing the 6 venues) at the entrance. Wear comfortable shoes — the venues are spread across the old quarter, and travel between concerts is on foot.
