Ten-day Volksfest of SV Bruckmühl with parade, fireworks, and Heino
The SV Bruckmühl is the sports club of the Upper Bavarian market town of Bruckmühl in the Rosenheim district — known for its Bundesliga volleyball base. The club has hosted the annual Volksfest since 1954, which enjoys cult status in the region as the "SVB-Wiesn". In 2026, the 72nd edition will run for ten days from Friday, July 10th, to Sunday, July 19th.
The opening is marked on the first evening by a grand parade starting at 6:00 PM, moving from the Bruckmühl Gymnasium to the festival grounds. Three festival bands with a total of 1,000 participants form the core of the procession — an unusual parade for a Volksfest of this size, mobilizing the region between Bruckmühl, Bad Aibling, Kolbermoor, and Rosenheim.
On July 10th, 2026, two heavyweights of the Bavarian-German party music genre will provide the opening atmosphere in the festival tent: Almklausi with his Wiesn hits and Heino as the legendary Schlager star. A deliberate combination of Wiesn pop and Schlager classics — typical of the festival's programmatic mix.
Over the ten days, other key program points are spread out:
The festival tent offers seating for several hundred guests daily; alongside it, over 500 m² of beer garden space, open daily from 2:30 PM. Waitresses in traditional costume serve Bavarian specialties — Hax'n, Bratl, Hähnchen, Steckerlfisch, Brezeln. On tap: regional festival beers from Upper Bavarian breweries. Accessible toilets, ample parking, a dedicated covered smoking area.
Bruckmühl is located in the southern Rosenheim district on the Mangfall river, on the Munich–Salzburg railway line. The market town with almost 16,000 inhabitants is one of the economic centers of the Mangfall Valley — and the SVB-Wiesn is its most important annual major event. Beyond the Wiesn, carnival parades, Christmas markets, and sports weeks shape the local event calendar.
The 2026 edition features the full program arsenal of the SVB-Wiesn concept — from party music with Almklausi and Heino on opening night to the nationwide volleyball tournament and the closing boxing match night. This variety of Wiesn, sports event, and family festival makes the Bruckmühl Volksfest one of Upper Bavaria's most surprisingly diverse folk festivals.
Bruckmühl is located on the A8 (Bad Aibling exit) and the Munich–Salzburg railway line (BRB / Meridian). Approximately a 10-minute walk from Bruckmühl station to the festival grounds. Ample free parking available.
