Villazauber – Christmas Market in the Garden of the Schwartzschen Villa

Premiere in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf District

With Villazauber, Berlin-Steglitz has had its own small Christmas market in the garden of the Schwartzschen Villa since December 2025. The villa at Grunewaldstraße 54–55, just a few minutes from the S-Bahn and U-Bahn station Rathaus Steglitz, has served as a community center, gallery, and café for years — and is opening its garden for its own market for the first time during the Advent season.

Inclusion and Arts and Crafts

The market is organized by Café Schwartzsche Villa in cooperation with Mosaik-Services gGmbH, an inclusion company that employs people with and without disabilities. Products from the Mosaik workshops — arts and crafts, gifts, seasonal items — form the backbone of the market. In addition, there are stalls from local makers from the district. "The new Christmas market shows how much creativity and commitment there is in our district," explained the District Councillor for Culture.

Program for Families

Over the three days, there will be a varied program with live music, creative workshops for children, and a classic visit from St. Nicholas. Mulled wine, fresh waffles, bratwurst, and winter sweets provide the culinary framework. Admission is free — a neighborhood Advent festival that consciously distinguishes itself from the large tourist markets in Mitte.
