VfB Mantel 100 Years Anniversary Festival

100 Years VfB Mantel 1926

In 2026, VfB Mantel 1926 e.V. will turn one hundred years old. The traditional sports club from the Upper Palatinate market town of Mantel in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district is celebrating this anniversary with a large, three-day festival on its sports grounds at Hammerweg.

Three Days of Festivities in the Tent

The event kicks off on Friday evening with the party band »POWER«, followed by DJ Dani with bar service. Saturday is dedicated to sports and camaraderie: teams will compete in a human foosball tournament, and in the evening, the party band »DEI VO GESTERN« will heat up the festival tent. Sunday crowns the weekend with a parade through the town.

Parade, Raffle, and Public Viewing

On Sunday afternoon, the parade with the Weiding brass band and the Erbendorf marching band will proceed through Mantel. Afterwards, the winners of the large raffle will be drawn live. To conclude, the club invites you to watch the World Cup match Germany vs. Curaçao in the festival tent.

A Club at the Heart of Village Life

Sports clubs like VfB Mantel are often the social center in the villages of the Upper Palatinate. The anniversary festival honors the voluntary commitment of 100 years of club history and brings the entire market community together. The patrons are District Administrator Andreas Meier and Mayor Richard Kammerer.
