Berlin's largest bicycle festival – 200 exhibitors, 5 test tracks, 3 stages in Hangar 5 of Tempelhof Airport, April 11–12, 2026
Since 2011, VELOBerlin has been the central platform for the German cycling scene and by far Berlin's largest bicycle festival. In spring, the festival brings together around 200 exhibitors, 1,000 athletes, 100 speakers, and up to 20,000 visitors in Hangar 5 of the historic Tempelhof Airport – an industrial space with 16-meter-high ceilings, offering ample room for large stands, test tracks, and a stage program.
The exhibition is divided into several areas: Urban (city and commuter bikes), Family & Kids (children's bikes, trailers, e-cargo), Road Bike / Gravel (racing and gravel bikes), Cargo (cargo bikes for families and businesses), and Tourism (touring bikes, bikepacking equipment). Established brands like Specialized, Pelago, or Alpina will be present, as well as Berlin startups and manufacturers.
On five test tracks, you can try out current models directly – asphalt, gravel, technical trail setup on Tempelhofer Feld in front of the hangar. Three stages will host the program: talks with professionals, political panels on Berlin's cycling policy, workshops on maintenance, bikepacking, safe urban cycling, plus BMX demos and hands-on activities for children. Topics range from concrete bike purchases to the sustainable mobility transition.
A dedicated track, VELOFamily, has been set up for families: children's bikes for testing, children's musicians on stage, BMX demonstrations, and a special workshop program for parents (safety, saddle setup, route planning for children). Admission is free for children under 14, as well as for accompanying persons with a severe disability pass.
The 2026 edition once again uses the two days at Tempelhof Airport to bring together the German cycling industry and the Berlin cycling scene. Across approximately 10,000 m², 200+ exhibitors will showcase their latest models, five test tracks will allow for direct test rides, and three stages will host the talk and workshop program. Focus for 2026: sustainable mobility, smart gadgets, e-cargo for families and businesses.
