UseTube is a festival series that consistently distinguishes itself from commercial open-air formats. Instead of established stars, newcomers take the stage – artists who have just released their debut EPs or are already causing a stir in niche circles but haven't yet reached the mass market. For three days in June, the Ahlbeck concert venue opens its doors to an audience specifically looking to hear something new.

Diversity of Genres

The program typically includes indie-pop, folk, soul, blues-rock, and singer-songwriter – genres where handmade music, personal stories, and unique sonic aesthetics are paramount. At the 2026 festival, among others, Alenna Rose, Dear Robin, LUCIDEZ, TOMKEN, TON-KOLLEKTIV, and Veigh Malow will perform. The mix guarantees something for every taste within the acoustic-emotional genres without diluting the profile.

Beach Atmosphere as a Stage

The Konzertplatz Ahlbeck is located directly on the promenade, within sight of the historic Ahlbeck pier, the oldest seaside structure in Germany and one of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's most famous landmarks. The open venue by the water offers an atmospheric stage – seagulls, wind, and the scent of the Baltic Sea are part of the musical experience. Concerts usually start in the late afternoon and end before midnight, making UseTube family-friendly.

Organizers and Mission

The organizer is Kaiserbäder Tourismus Service GmbH, the umbrella organization for the three Kaiserbads: Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin. UseTube is part of a strategic initiative to profile the island of Usedom as a cultural destination beyond its classic seaside and wellness image. Newcomer bands receive a professional stage and an attentive audience; the community gains an identity-defining program point in the June calendar.

Ahlbeck — Tradition and Avant-Garde

The Kaiserbad Ahlbeck has been known for its spa architecture and literary tradition since the 19th century. With UseTube, it adds a modern chapter to its image – the historic promenade meets the current German-speaking newcomer scene. This connection exemplifies the cultural repositioning of the Kaiserbads in recent years in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district.
