The Jazzfreunde Altkreis Burgdorf have been using it for their Pfingst-Musik-Festival for years, establishing it as a fixture in the town's event calendar.

20 Years of Jazzfreunde

In 2026, the Jazzfreunde Altkreis Burgdorf will celebrate their 20th anniversary. The association is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of jazz in all its diversity and organizes regular concerts in addition to the Pfingst festival. The anniversary year is being honored with a particularly carefully curated Whit festival program.

• Whit Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 3 p.m. – Concert by The Sterls in the Castle Park
• Whit Monday, May 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. – Jazz Brunch with the Limehouse Jazzband

Atmosphere and Format

The festival thrives on its relaxed atmosphere: those who wish can come with picnic blankets, deck chairs, family, and friends. There will be a small selection of drinks and snacks available on site. Free admission – a collection at the exit allows the audience to financially support the voluntary work of the Jazzfreunde.
