Forchheim's Old Town Becomes an Open-Air Stage

"Überall Musik" is the big city festival of Forchheim's old town. On a single day in late spring, the historic town center – between the town hall, Paradeplatz, and Hauptstraße – transforms into an open-air stage landscape. Exclusively regional bands from Forchheim, the Franconian Switzerland, and the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region play on four distributed stages.

Program Between Folk and Rock

The musical range is deliberately broad:

• Folk and singer-songwriter
• Rock, pop, and covers
• Oldies and rock 'n' roll
• Brass music and Franconian city bands

Each stage has its own musical character; the audience strolls through the old town and can put together their own "festival path.".

Beer Cellars, Breweries, and Festival Atmosphere

Forchheim is the capital of Upper Franconian beer culture – several traditional breweries are located in close proximity. For the festival, they serve their beers along with Forchheim inns directly in the squares; regional specialties such as Bratwurst, Schäuferla, and carp are also available.

Extended Shopping Evening

A special feature: "Überall Musik" traditionally coincides with the long shopping night of Forchheim's city center. Shops open longer, artisans present their crafts, and the mix of concerts, shopping, and gastronomy makes the festival one of the highlights of the event year in the district town.

Forchheim and the Franconian Switzerland

Forchheim is the seat of the district of Forchheim in Upper Franconia (Bavaria) and is considered the gateway to the Franconian Switzerland. The festival is part of a rich cultural summer program, which culminates in July with the Annafest – one of the largest beer cellar festivals in Bavaria.
