Festival Mile in the Heart of Traunreut
The Traunreut City Festival is the major summer city festival of the Chiemgau town of Traunreut in the Traunstein district. On a Saturday in July, the entire city center, with Rathausplatz as its focal point, becomes a festival mile featuring music, culinary offerings, and interactive activities.
Three Stages, Many Styles
Local bands and artists showcase a wide musical spectrum on three stages – from traditional brass music to rock and pop. The traditional opening at Rathausplatz is by the Traunwalchen music band, complemented by performances from dance schools and bands like „Just Duty Free".
Culinary Delights and Hands-on Activities
Numerous food and drink stalls offer regional and international cuisine – from Bavarian delicacies to exotic dishes and sweets. Hands-on activities round off the family program.

The 2026 edition runs on Saturday, July 11th, from 3:00 PM to midnight. The entire Traunreut city center will become a festival mile with three stages, culinary offerings, and interactive activities.
Schedule
Opening at 3:00 PM at Rathausplatz with the Traunwalchen music band, followed by performances from dance schools and bands throughout the day (including „Just Duty Free"), with catering available continuously.

Getting There
Traunreut is located in the Traunstein district, accessible via the A8 motorway (Traunstein exit) and by train (Traunreut station). The festival takes place centrally in the city center around Rathausplatz.
