Street food on the Zanders grounds — four days, one marketplace

The Original Street Food Festival is one of Germany's most renowned street food tours — the organizers curate artisanal stalls away from the convenience food wave and are now coming to Bergisch Gladbach for the fourth time. From Thursday, June 4th to Sunday, June 7th, 2026 (Corpus Christi weekend), the tour will take over Gohrsmühlenplatz on the former Zanders grounds right by the train station. The old paper mill wasteland in the middle of the city lends the festival an industrial atmosphere that fits the street food identity.

What's on the plate

The exhibitor list is international and curated: vegan street food bowls, Korean Bulgogi and Bibimbap, Latin American tacos and empanadas, South African barbecue, Indian curries, Syrian falafel wraps. Plus classic Käsespätzle, pulled pork, burgers, and artisanal pizza. Sweets: crêpes, churros, frozen yogurt. Vegan and gluten-free options are clearly marked.

The new 'Tapa' concept

A new feature for 2026: the 'Street Food Tapa' concept. All stalls offer small portions for €6 — intended so you can try your way through different cuisines rather than filling up at one stall. This way, you can easily test five to six different cuisines in one evening.

Getting there

Gohrsmühlenplatz is located directly next to the S-Bahn station Bergisch Gladbach (S11 from Cologne). By car via the A4 — parking at the Zanders grounds is limited, public transport is recommended. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
