The Trappenkamp Street Festival with Funfair is the largest annual event in the young municipality of Trappenkamp in the Segeberg district (Schleswig-Holstein). From June 5th to 8th, 2026, the market square will be transformed into a four-day festival mile with amusement rides, food stalls, and a promenade. The highlight is Saturday, June 6th — also the actual celebration day for the municipality's 70th anniversary — with the band Hitluencer and DJ Kleini from 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM on the market square and a large fireworks display at 11:00 PM. Four days of festival mile, a big anniversary: In 2026, the municipality of Trappenkamp celebrates 70 years — and the street festival on the first weekend of June will be in the spotlight. The funfair opens on Friday, June 5th, with rides, food stalls, and market booths on the market square and the Schiffweide.

The central celebration day is Saturday, June 6th, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The band Hitluencer will play on the stage at the market square, followed by DJ Kleini. At 11:00 PM, the grand anniversary fireworks will take place. Sunday, June 7th, the festival weekend concludes with funfair atmosphere and a Frühschoppen (morning pint).

Getting There

Train: to Bad Segeberg or Neumünster, then by bus to Trappenkamp. Car: A21 exit Bornhöved / Trappenkamp, then L 67 to the town center. Special closures around the market square and Schiffweide during the festival — parking lots in the residential areas are signposted.

Trappenkamp Celebrates its 70th Anniversary

Trappenkamp is one of the youngest municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein. Only in 1956 was the former heath settlement founded as an independent municipality in the Segeberg district — a settlement for displaced persons grew from the Wehrmacht barracks in the post-war period. Today, around 4,700 people live in Trappenkamp, which is closely connected to neighboring Bornhöved and Rickling.

In 2026, the municipality will celebrate its 70th anniversary, and the traditional Trappenkamp Street Festival with Funfair will be expanded accordingly. From June 5th to 8th, 2026, the town center will become a festival mile — the market square, the Schiffweide, and the adjacent streets will be closed to traffic and will belong to the festival operations for four days.

Four Days of Funfair

The funfair with classic rides, food stalls, market booths, and a promenade will be open from Friday to Sunday. The regional showmen's association ensures a colorful program of carousels for families, dodgem cars, stalls, and candy stands.

Saturday Highlight

The actual celebration day is Saturday, June 6th, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM. The band Hitluencer will play on the market square, accompanied by DJ Kleini — until 1:00 AM. At 11:00 PM, the grand fireworks display will be the highlight of the 70th anniversary. Free admission.

Trappenkamp in the Segeberg District

Trappenkamp is located in the southeastern part of the Segeberg district, nestled between Bornhöved and the Aukrug Nature Park. The municipality sees itself as a family-friendly residential community and has developed its own character over the years with the street festival and several smaller events such as the Freiraum Open Air.
