The combination of Stadtfest and Wanderfest is the organizational masterpiece for 2026. The Stadtfest Niemegk at the Schützenplatz runs from Friday evening and Saturday — with opening ceremonies, stage program, live music. On Sunday, the 19th Naturpark-Wanderfest starts with 14 different hiking tours from various starting points in the Hoher Fläming Nature Park. Hiking tour lengths vary — from family walks to day-long treks. All 14 routes have a common goal: the Schützenplatz Niemegk and the Stadtfest. So, if you want to go for a hike in good weather, you have a clear destination: stage music in the late morning, bratwurst, beer, and the experience of gathering with hundreds of other hikers at a festival site.

Program — Three Days in Detail

Friday, May 29: Opening evening at the Schützenplatz with DJ Tom — dance music until late. Saturday, May 30: 2 PM opening of the swimming season at the Paul-Temming-Bad (municipal outdoor pool), 3 PM official opening of the Stadtfest by the Mayor at the Schützenplatz, followed by the Bürgerschützengilde competition (king's shoot), stage program with regional bands and the Wiesenburg Youth Brass Band, children's program. Sunday, May 31: from 8:30 AM start of the 14 hiking groups at various starting points, 1:30 PM large club parade through Niemegk, 2:30 PM return of the hiking groups to the Schützenplatz, stage program with Robby Schulze, complemented by a family and children's festival, visit to the water tower with the Brausemuseum (Niemegk industrial monument).

Getting There and Staying

Niemegk is reachable by car via the B 2 from Berlin in about 1 hour 15 minutes, by train it's more complicated (RB 33 / Bus). Those who want to experience the entire nature park can combine the weekend with an overnight stay in Bad Belzig (Burg Eisenhardt), Wiesenburg, or Brück. The Stadtfest with Wanderfest is a perfect Pentecost weekend for nature lovers from Berlin and Brandenburg.
