Across Bremen's youngest district – on foot, by bike, and by boat
The Überseestadt is Bremen's youngest and one of its most exciting districts: a former harbour area in the Walle district where old warehouses, mills, and industrial halls meet new architecture, creative industries, and manufactories. During the Tourentag Überseestadt, you can get to know this area from a side that usually remains closed, all in one Sunday.
The starting point is the historic Speicher XI with the Harbour Museum. Numerous free guided tours start from here – on foot, by bicycle, or from the water. You can take a boat trip with the "Gräfin Emma" towards Waller Sand, explore the former Kellogg site where the Überseeinsel is being built, attend a coffee seminar with tasting at Lloyd Caffee, or cycle through the harbour facilities and cultural institutions.
The appeal of the Tourentag lies in its mix: history and architecture meet enjoyment and behind-the-scenes insights. You'll visit manufactories such as the Bremer Braumanufaktur, a gingerbread manufactory, or a coffee roastery, and learn firsthand how an old harbour became a vibrant city district. Around Speicher XI, stands offering food, sweets, and refreshments create a family festival atmosphere.
The Tourentag is also an invitation to discover Bremen's west. For those who want to leave the tourist paths of the Hanseatic city, this is a district in transition – maritime, industrial, and creative all at once. Admission is free, but many tours require registration.
On Sunday, May 24, 2026, Überseestadt invites you to the Tourentag around Speicher XI from 11 am to 5 pm.
